Ted Sheloski, To the BMAC officers and all members, Dixie and i would like to thank you all for the gift you didnt have to do it i do what i do for the love of the sport and to make new friends . So once again thank you and from all of us here on the farm to all of you Merry Christmas & Happy New Year the trail head will be open for winter riding and the logger will start soon.

To explain Ted's Thank You

Ted is the one landowner that is on Facebook and monitors our Blog, so now that he's received his card, it's safe to openly tell. After this past Sunday's meeting the President of BMAC made a suggestion and all the officers, B.O.D., and the BMAC appointed reps agreed on behalf of BMAC, to give our landowners a $50 gift certificate to Sweet Caroline's restaurant, in W. Rutland as a year end thank you for their hospitality in supporting BMAC and VASA. Sweet Caroline's is also a supporter of BMAC and is right on the way to our BMAC trail head on West Rd. in Ira.

Sweet Caroline's Restaurant has been judged "The Best of the Best" family restaurant in the Rutland region. Fantastic food, excellent pricing and wonderful owners and servers.
Enjoy Ted & Dixie, John and Susan and Brian..Merry Christmas!!!

Pictures of the BMAC/West Rutland Town 2 mi. loop

The wet areas crossing the snow covered trail are actual water bars. In the last 2 months since the Last Hoorah, the rains had practically washed out the entire trail of the 2 mi. loop that leads up to Herrick. Our contractor did a fantastic job of saving this trail. It was a good thing we were able to get the work done before winter. Now the trail can settle and will be an excellent ATV trail next year.
Thanks to VASA for monetary support and guidance! And V.P. Ray Viger for assisting Dave with getting the pictures today

Also, since there will be no meeting there will be no collection for the West Rutland Food Shelf and Thanksgiving is less then 2 wk's. away. The Officers of BMAC are working on filling in this void, but we'd like to suggest that any members who could help out with nonperishable's or a donation of money/check for the Food Shelf to please contact any of the officers or by email. We can make arrangements for pickup, within a reasonable distance or tell you a drop off point.

As always the W.R. Food Shelf will appreciate all help.

V.E.S.T ATV Safety Course

A very successful VASA ATV safety course was held in Danville, VT. on Oct. 2, 2010. As of now, because of hunting seasons and holidays, VASA is postponing the courses until Spring.

Between BMAC and WRASC we have 12 signed up for the course, which is a day long classroom course, and we also have a place to hold the course, at Central VT. Motorcycles. We will send out notice after the first of the new year to refresh the list of students.

BMAC's 2nd Annual Rescue Training Drill

On Sept. 25 BMAC hosted their 2nd Annual Emergency Response Rescue drill at their ATV Trail Head on West Rd. in the West Rutland/Ira area. Their sister club WRASC also participated, along with emergency response departments from Castleton, Goshen, Ira and Timmouth fire depts.
The purpose of the drill was to train VASA-BMAC & WRASC atv club members and local emergency response teams to work together when responding to situations in remote off highway locations that would benefit having trained atv assistance. This training will be valuable in rescues of hikers, Mt. bikers, atvers, fishermen, hunters, campers and transporting fire department volunteers and their equipment to remote off road locations. Big thank you to the many VASA atver's that want training and participated on Sat.
With our sport this training is a valuable asset. If you can ride an atv or SxS and/or use a GPS, then you can benefit from this training even if you have a handicapp.
BMAC's 3rd Annual Drill is already being planned for early Spring 2011.
I'll be making up cd's of pictures for our EMS that participated. There are close to 300 pictures of the 3 practice drills. 117 are posted on Facebook; http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/profile.php?id=100000225845929
