When gaining access to Ted's trail off West Rd. through the meadows to his mountain, you might encounter "Miss Daisy" (the donkey). She was mistreated before she came to her home here.

Once here, she decided she would be protector of her fellow companions, the horses, from coyote dogs. She has successfully rid this area of the coyote dogs, but stands guard close to whatever pasture they are in. If the horses are in the pasture by the trail, Miss Daisy will be on guard. We have no reason to suspect that she would mistake an ATV for a coyote dog, but please, when you see her on guard, slow down and do nothing to irritate her. Just remember, this is her home and she's only doing her job protecting her friends. Miss Daisy is not fenced in and she will not go out onto West Rd. She stays close to guard her companions. Because of being mistreated at her former home, she doesn't like strangers to touch her.
