Hello members, It's me again, Tabatha Viger.  Officers wanted me to let all members know that if Sunday is nice, we will try to work on trails before and after the meeting if anyone is available to help.

We will be meeting  Sunday, September 11,2011 at 9am at the trail head weather permitting.  If raining, the work time will be cancelled, and we will see everyone at the trail head for the meeting at 1pm.

Hello Members,
Just wanted to remind all members that our monthly meeting will be this Sunday, Sept 11, 2011 at the trail head.  We will be discussing the closing of trails due to hazards caused by Hurricane Irene.  We will be planning a priority list on what trails need to have priority first and try to set work days.  Everyone's input would be greatly appreciated.

From Southern VT Trail Riders

SVTR, and VASA Members.

Do to the effects of Hurricane Irene, the Southern Vermont Trail
Riders trails are CLOSED until further notice. Until I can get out
there to assess the damages I ask everyone to please stay off the
trails.

In the meantime, anyone who can volunteer their time and machine,
please contact local fire department or law enforcement to see where
you can help if needed.

Unfortunately, I realize it is a Holiday weekend, but our priorities
should be with helping out where we can, trail maintenance will have
to come second.

I would like to thank those of you who have already taken it upon
themselves to get out there and help with rescue, first response and
welfare checks.
